A free Mac app that turns the notch into an island: music, weather, your calendar and to-dos, quick tools, clipboard history and an assistant you can type or talk to. When a task needs the screen, its AI agent can use your Mac for you.
Yes. The AI parts use your own Claude API key, billed by Anthropic. VortexPoint Plus, with premium skins for €9 once, is optional and coming soon.
Answers and voice notes use Claude Haiku, well under a cent each. Agent tasks use more, and each one stops at the spending limit you set in Settings. Simple phrases like "memorie" or "volum 40" are handled on your Mac at no cost.
Only what a request needs, sent to Anthropic under your key: your request, the Mac figures or calendar titles it asked for, and screenshots while the agent runs. Clipboard history, files and audio stay on your Mac. We receive nothing. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Accessibility and Screen Recording for the agent and the quick tools, Microphone and Speech for voice, Calendars and Reminders for Plan, Location for the weather (optional), and Automation for Notes, Music and your browsers. Each is asked the first time you use that feature.
Yes. On displays without a notch it draws the island at the top of the screen.
macOS 26 or later, on Apple Silicon.
VortexPoint is distributed outside the App Store, so macOS asks you to confirm once. Here's how:
VortexPoint checks for new versions by itself and tells you in the notch. One click installs.
Right-click the notch and choose Quit VortexPoint, then drag VortexPoint to the Trash. To leave nothing behind, also delete ~/Library/Application Support/VortexPoint, the VortexPoint item in Keychain Access, and ~/Library/Preferences/com.dandeamihai.VortexPoint.plist.
